We are looking for a fully flexible, enthusiastic, and motivated  Staff Nurse to join the team on the Derwent Ward at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital. We are a 20 bedded ward devoted to elective orthopaedic surgery.

You will be responsible for admitting and preparing patients for theatre ensuring that local policy is adhered to, caring for patients post-operatively and working within the MDT to ensure safe discharge of patients.  the role requires a friendly and patient centred person with excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining and developing high standards of care.  

Development of staff and evidence based quality care is our priority, previous Orthopaedic experience would be preferred but full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.

The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust merged in 2020 to  form University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. It is a condition of employment that all staff being recruited will work across all sites
