If you are ambitious to develop your specialist respiratory physiotherapy skills whilst being involved in service development and supporting other members of the therapy team, you will find this a rewarding role.

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Acute Inpatient Therapy Team. You will be working as part of the therapy team covering the medical, surgical, oncology and ICU. As the successful candidate you will bring/develop specialised respiratory and oncology physiotherapy skills to treat and facilitate patients with varied, and often multifaceted and complex needs. This post will be integral in supporting and teaching more junior staff and the wider MDT. The post will also involve assisting with audit and service development projects, and will provide an opportunity to further develop specialised physiotherapy skills including high-level assessment and treatment skills and complex case management.

To be successful in this post, you will have:

  • Experience of working as a physiotherapist, covering the core clinical areas, including respiratory
  • Experience working on an on-call rota
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the physiotherapy assessment & treatment of a range of clinical conditions.
  • Excellent organisational and motivational skills.
  • An ability to work well across teams to meet patient and service priorities
  • Weekend working, and participation in the on-call respiratory service, is also integral to the role.

Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
