We are looking for a pro-active and motivated Radiographer to join our team of MRI Radiographers in a busy department on a Fixed Term one year contract. The MRI unit has a 3T Philips Ingenia upgraded to the latest R5 platform, a 1.5T Siemens Avanto upgraded in 2018, and a Philips Ambition X 1.5T system with low helium technology installed in 2019, the first system in the UK.
We perform a comprehensive range of MRI examinations including cardiac, whole body, and breast MRI.
Poole MRI department is a great place to develop your skills and gain specialised knowledge in MRI. We are looking for an experienced MRI Radiographer with sound knowledge and is a good team player to join our friendly MRI team. The post-holder must:
• Have the knowledge and technical ability to scan a broad range of MRI examinations including liver, neurology and abdominal imaging.
• Be confident to work autonomously and make decisions regarding protocols in the absence of a radiologist.
• Practice safely using the MHRA guidelines and department safety policies as guidelines.
• Be an active participant in CPD and show evidence of this.
• Be able to lead the team when co-ordinating the MRI list.
• Work fluidly as part of the MRI team to optimise workflow.
• Work to an exceptionally high standard of care to ensure the patients have the best care in the MRI department.
Please note: if this job requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary.
